Drawing upon long-standing collaborative partnerships with healthcare partners, the Health Design Studio supports researchers to develop designs to support health transitions, health design and transformation tools, supportive and inclusive design techniques, and exemplary design in health collaborations with an emphasis on knowledge dissemination and mobilization. This research is needed to facilitate effective change in the health sector. The Health Design Studio includes:
Co-design and workshop facilities for participatory workshops from small groups to large stakeholder engagements.
Usability and testing labs (including facilities for remote testing) that support evaluation of health design elements, extremely diverse users, and a wide range of contexts.
Infrastructure to research highly complex and contextually rich healthcare settings,
Facilities to support design research in innovative graphic and animation tools, and post-production compilation.
Collaborative facilities to host scholars and community members in partnered projects.
